Location and surroundings: Maria Schmolln lies at 557 metres above sea level in the middle of the hilly foothills of the Kobernaußerwald, one of the most beautiful and largest forest areas in Europe.
Our village is located approx. 9 km east of the small town of Mattighofen, which can be reached from the motorway exit Salzbug-Nord (45 km) or from our district town Braunau am Inn (20 km) or from Ried im Innkreis (28 km).
